Aaron Basch - CEO

Aaron Basch earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science, and a master's degree of education in mathematics from UC San Diego. After working with Math for America as a mathematics teacher for five years, he went back to school to earn his master's degree of financial engineering from UCLA. Prior to Sparket, Aaron served as the executive director of risk and finance at MotoLease, an alternative vehicle financing company. Mr. Basch is a proven financial operations manager who improves processes and systems through data driven initiatives to increase productivity, revenue, and margin in a fast-paced working environment. Aaron is both a sports and esports fan, he played collegiate level sports and has been top ranked in multiple esports games. He has also built and operated his own ethereum blockchain rigs in his office.

Evan Fisher - COO

Evan Fisher spent 8 years at Google, focusing on product user experience, as part of a startup in Google X, and previously leading a team of finance professionals. Prior to Google, Evan received his MBA from Columbia University with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship and Finance. He began his career in the energy industry after completing undergrad at USC. Evan's skillsets lie in product / program management, having driven complex initiatives to completion and leading large teams. He also has a keen mind for statistics and operations. Evan is a huge sports fan and enjoys playing tennis, chess, and basketball in his free time.

Joe Margolis - AI Software Engineer

Joe Margolis is a data scientist and former collegiate baseball player at Macalester College. He worked as a software consultant for CCC Intelligent Solutions, providing mentorship and analytics for auto insurance providers before attending Fordham University where he received his Masters of Science in Data Science. At Sparket Joe works as a Machine Learning/AI Engineer, leading the technical development side of Sparket.AI. By leveraging AI techniques for odds projections on Sparket.AI he intends to provide improved odds, expansion to niche sports, and accumulation of data and rankings from other projection sources.

Kira Sobolev - Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer

Kira Sobolev is a Full Stack Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience building and scaling SaaS platforms. He holds a master's degree in control systems and computer sciences from BMSTU, giving him a strong engineering foundation rooted in aerospace control systems. Early in his career, Kira built Sport24, a sports news and statistics portal serving millions of users daily, from the ground up. He went on to work at Deutsche Bank, followed by TestupIO, where he worked on test-automation systems using image recognition. Passionate about learning and emerging technology, Kira is an avid AI enthusiast who actively builds AI-powered tools and products.

Jake Malek - Manager of Markets & Analytics

Jake has been around sports his entire life and has spent much of his career building and managing complex programs across a wide range of environments. Before joining Sparket, he led teams, managed operations, and oversaw large scale initiatives in both domestic and international nonprofit settings, developing a strong foundation in execution and leadership. At Sparket, Jake focuses on building betting pools and custom contests, ensuring markets are engaging, well balanced, and intuitive for users. He brings a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to his work and enjoys solving problems at the intersection of sports, data, and user experience.
